Balance . . I seek Balance.

This reminds me of a 3-panel Garfield comic I once read.

1st frame:
Garfield in his best "Igor" pose with grasping-fingered hands raised to chest and wild eyes (as he approaches Odie the brainless dog) says, "A brain. I need a brain for my mahstah!" (Be sure to roll your R in brain.)

2nd frame:
Garfield looks Odie in eye.

3rd frame:
Garfield is walking past Odie - same pose - and says, "A brain. I need a brain for my mahstah!" (without the visual - Odie was quite brainless, so Garfield had to just keep looking.)

Back to topic, this search for balance in my life is like looking for a brain in Odie's head. It AIN'T there, honey!! Have no clue how to achieve balance, stay in the middle of the road, ride the fence, be moderate.

So, maybe I don't seek balance, maybe I seek to avoid balance. When things begin to teeter on the edge in my life, I just add a few more variables to keep me so busy that I don't notice how hard this is!!! YEAH, that's it!

So last week, I logged 18.5 miles walking (fast walking - for exercise) and this week, I've logged 6, so far. It is SO much what I need physically, but it offers me time to process life stuff to the point of achieving a bit of sanity. I figure things out, I see the other side of the coin, I play out scenarios, I rehash old arguments.

Today was especially great, because Vikki was with me and I had someone besides me to talk things over with. But I'm great company! And I offer GREAT advice! And so do I! Oh, shut up! (no, I'm not schizophrenic) (and neither am I)

I'm just thrilled to be thrilled with life. It's where I prefer to be.

Practical stuff:
I'm planning to write a paper on Alzheimer's Disease for extra credit in my Biology class. Mom's having the disease gives me a unique perspective on it, but it makes for tough writing. Dad can't seem to stay on board with letting Mom go to an activity group twice per week. He's got major guilt or something and just wants to do everything himself. He needs a rest, though.

I think I'm coming down with something. I've got that weird nasal/throat tickle-soreness. YUK - I really don't have time.
Spring Break is coming up quick and I'll have another major Bio test on several chapters. I'll also need to think up some fun things to do with the children during their holiday from school.

Got a few mystery problems with the blog, I'll get them worked out, though.
More later.
