Yes, it was a very big weekend at the casa de monte!

It's 11:30pm and Oscars have been awarded. I'm very happy for the Lord of the Rings people who've dedicated close to a decade of their lives to create these works of art we call "movies."

I'm thrilled for Sean Penn, for Ms. Coppola, Ms. Theron, and for Tim Robbins. Rene Zellwegger almost had me liking her with her heartfelt thanks, but Charlize Theron had me sobbing before I had time to realize I've never even seen her in any movie other than "Devil's Advocate" i think was the title.

Annie Lenox looks GREAT! She looks like she hasn't aged a BIT since I was enjoying watching her on MTV in '82! Julia Roberts looks great, and I always enjoy hearing from her.

What was missing? Big Fish only got the nomination for original score. I was just hoping Ewan McGregor would attend the event so I could SEE him! But, no. I didn't see him anyway. More later . . .
