The Last Juror . . .

Too late in the day for a proper "review," but I just finished John Grisham's latest - "The Last Juror," and I wanted to keep y'all up to date.

I really enjoyed it. I feel like I've been in Clanton, Mississippi, for the last few days during this read. I really needed to read about murder, intrigue, politics, and long lunches on front porches. It was a nice escape.

While I was "away," things have calmed considerably around here at home. Hubby and I have had many good talks since the really ROUGH ones mentioned here, and we are getting along just fine. We even decided to do some reshuffling of children in different rooms today, and move things around. The entire upstairs of our home is completely discombobulated!! It looks like ToysRUs blew up in N's room, and the pink/green girl's room doesn't look much better. But J's room looks FAB and all will be straightened out tomorrow night before bed!

Yesterday took a turn for the WILD when baby (2 years old) decided to run around in circles wearing socks on the hardwoods with a Magna Doodle pen (detached from the toy) in her mouth. She fell and jabbed the pen into the soft tissue of the roof of her mouth! I was upstairs and only heard the screams, but J had to removed the well-lodged obstacle from the baby's mouth before they brought her to me bleeding profusely, screaming and gagging!

An hour later, she was bathed, calm and in my arms recuperating. Today she's fine, but for the occasional whine that I know comes from the ache of a fresh wound.

WOW!
