Sunday - AGAIN!
WOW! It has been a week sinced I blogged. I remember when I blogged every day, sometimes 2, 3, or 4 times a day! The ecstasy! The inspiration! The passion! . . . .
Could the honeymoon be over? . . . .
Nah!
I find myself contemplating retreat! This always happens. I get my "gumption" up, huff off in a new direction full of purpose and ambition, meet with obstacles and negativity, and gradually just "peter" out and trudge off on my original path. Well, tonight I'm using Keri Smith's book "Living Out Loud" to inspire me to become my own superhero. (see www.kerismith.com and explore the various links).
My first exercise in this is to go buy another box of red haircolor. Loreal and I are TIGHT!! Sometimes a little box of fiery red haircolor is just what the excitement doctor ordered for the fiery little suburban housefrau. So, I, Ribqah, a la Ariel the Mermaid, am OFFFFFFFFFFF TOOOOOOOOOO ADVENTURRRRRRRRRRRE!
Tomorrow morning, that is.
Jessie and I had a Mother/Daughter date night on Friday. We went to a nice little Chinese Bistro for dinner (at 4pm), then went to order her birthday cake, then went to see Brother Bear at the theater. Cute movie! I WANTED to go see The Cat in the Hat. I signed her out of school an hour early using "doctor" as the excuse. Dr. SUESS!!!!!!!! But she was TOTALLY against it and said she didn't even like that book and it was dumb. I reluctantly agreed, and we get seated at Brother Bear and are watching the previews when they show a nice long Cat in the Hat preview and she just LAUGHS and LAUGHS!!! And she says, "hey, that does look cool!" Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Fun date though. And we bought the Lizzie McGuire movie while we were out and a book called "The Care and Keeping of You" and it was WONDERFUL!! I'll link a book review later. Lizzie McGuire was a really cute movie and the only problem I have with it and the Mary Kate and Ashley movies is that these families have more money than GOD or something. Lizzie goes on a class trip to ROME and her brother whines and her parents and brother fly over, too!! As if! But, it is a cute movie.
