Great Family DAY!

Today, with fever gone and energy to spare, we had a wonderful day. At 9am, I called my brother and he was coming to visit with his two children. I told them I was serving meatloaf, and they still wanted to come for lunch. I LOVE meatloaf and rarely make it because I have a tactile problem with touching raw meat, especially the way you have to touch it to make meatloaf, but it's SO good. So when I make meatloaf, I make two or three at a time and freeze them. I made two last week.

So they arrived at noon to a feast of meatloaf, mashed potatoes, gravy, brussels sprouts, and golden acorn squash.

My brother, Juanillo, had just returned from China to visit his fiance Jin. Turns out they got married while he was there! They had a book of wedding pictures and stuff. Juanillo left me a cd with many pics of the sights, because he knows I like to get a feel for other cultures. He brought Mom a gorgeous red kimino, dad got burgundy silk pajamas, and I got some incredible tea to go with the beautiful teaset he brought me last trip. It's green tea and it looks strange, but it's very good!

I got to visit with the neice and nephew, my personal faves, and they played with the children and enjoyed visiting with Mom and Dad. There were eleven at the lunch table and that is a wonderful, everlasting pleasure for me. What a blessing it is to have family; to look at my nephew and see one of my children's faces in his, to know that we all have the same dna present in all our bodies - VERY cool.
