Feels just like starting over!

Well, until I learn how to reconnect my archives that I had copied to another location, I am starting over in this blog.

Onward and upward!

All the feelings of bitterness and anger toward hubby are GONE! Expressing myself in my journal, making plans to re-enter the workplace, and actually putting a story on paper (at least the first part) helped me exorcise all those resentment demons that were plagueing me!

I feel excited about getting up in the morning, I'm facing the world with a little different perspective, and my energy level is up!

It's truly amazing how things can turn around in only a week!

Saturday, I visited my parents home that they moved out of in February of this year. They took an apartment close by me and haven't yet sold their house. Mom had stowed away tons of art supplies and I rummaged around and found canvas stretcher boards, rolls of canvas, already stretched canvases, and a little box full of unused tubes of watercolor paints!

Today I assembled as many stretcher boards as I could leaving only 3 odd, unmatched sizes. Most of them are 16" x 24", but I was able to create a couple of 8" x 20" long rectangles and one 16"x16" square! I love odd shapes!

This evening, hubby found the staple gun and my canvas stretching plier/vise thingy (technical, huh?), and together we stretched canvas over the 16"x16" stretcher boards! It was fun! We did a pretty good job! But we ran out of staples, so I have to get more tomorrow!

I'm reading Keri Smith's book (see link) Living Out Loud, and it is JUST wonderful! I absolutely love it! I'm just abuzz with ideas for implementing her suggestions. Right now I'm listing potential members for a "creativity group."

I printed her free mobile from her blog, cut it out and attached it to a twig from the water oak in my front yard. It is SO cute and the children LOVE it!! It is the first time in my 38.5 years that I've ever made a mobile! I want to work in this area more - I really like the movement!

Time to get some sleep now. Goodnight all!
